Meet Marcia: Compassionate Counsellor and Mindfulness Practitioner in Plymouth

At Personal & Relationship Counselling, we are pleased to introduce Marcia, a humanistic and integrative counsellor who offers a warm, compassionate, and holistic approach to therapy. Working with clients in Plymouth and online, Marcia tailors her counselling approach to each individual’s unique experiences, drawing on a variety of therapeutic methods to support emotional wellbeing, personal growth, and lasting change.

Marcia has a particular interest in helping people recover from the effects of narcissistic abuse, supporting clients as they rebuild confidence, develop healthier boundaries, and reconnect with their sense of self. Alongside her counselling practice, she recently gained a Diploma in Mindful Meditation, further enhancing her ability to help clients understand the connection between mind, body, and emotional wellbeing.

A Personal Message from Marcia

An Integrative and Humanistic Approach

I believe that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and positive change when they are given the right support and environment. As a humanistic and integrative counsellor, I adapt my approach to suit your individual needs, recognising that no two people or experiences are the same.

Special Interest in Narcissistic Abuse Recovery

I have a keen interest in narcissism and the healing and recovery of narcissistic abuse. I understand how these experiences can leave lasting emotional wounds, and I am passionate about helping clients rebuild their confidence, self-worth, and trust in themselves.

The Benefits of Mindfulness and Meditation

My training in Mindful Meditation has strengthened my belief that reconnecting with our bodies and our true selves can be a powerful part of the healing process. Through mindfulness, we can begin to understand what our bodies may be communicating to us and gain greater awareness of how past experiences, including bullying, abuse, anxiety, and limiting beliefs, continue to affect us today. Over time, this awareness can help us gently process and release the impact of these experiences.

A Safe Space to Explore Difficult Feelings

Life can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from ourselves. My aim is to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can explore difficult emotions, develop greater self-understanding, and build a stronger sense of self-love and self-compassion. Together, we can work towards helping you achieve a clearer mindset and a more fulfilling life.

Marcia works with individual clients and offers both face-to-face counselling in Plymouth and online counselling sessions, with appointments available on Thursdays and Fridays. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, trauma, or the effects of narcissistic abuse, Marcia is committed to supporting you on your journey towards healing and personal growth.

If you are looking for a caring and experienced counsellor in Plymouth, contact us today to arrange a free 15-minute introductory phone consultation with Marcia.  Alternatively, you can book your counselling appointment directly using Marcia’s online diary.
